Customizable authentication page branding (HTML editor - more flexible CSS branding)

Provide more flexible out-of-the-box branding customization for the authentication point (similar to EZProxy), ideally via a HTML editor or support for uploaded CSS/HTML files.

At a minimum, libraries should be able to replace all the English text/labels on the UI (to help with localisation). However, ideally the authentication point should be able to meet branding guidelines of the institution.

The current workaround requires an API connector, which many libraries lack the technical expertise to configure and there is no documented use case for building an API connector with the Managed Directory API specifically for customizing the authentication point branding.

Is this currently impacting your ability to use OpenAthens effectively? No

I also strongly support this idea! Being able to customize the authentication page to match our institutional branding would be a huge improvement for us, and would reduce the complexity of our current authentication flow

We struggled with the reduced customizability of OpenAthens pages when we migrated from EZproxy, and we continue to hope for more flexibility in the future. I wholeheartedly support this idea!
