Ability to transform attributes including the value from another attribute

We would like to be able to use the value from an existing attribute (e.g. one passed in from local connector) to form part of a new attribute and add free text to it.
e.g. SAMaccountName attribute (e.g. abc123) + our domain scope - to make abc123@domain.com
You can currently do this exact example via mapping EPPN, but it's possible we may want/need to do this with other text strings/attributes in future to match service provider requirements/maintain personalisation when things change in the local directory.
