Admin Activity Log for OpenAthens

I would like to request an enhancement to the OpenAthens admin interface to include a log history of administrative modifications. Currently, the system does not provide a detailed audit trail of changes made by admin accounts.

Default permission set missing: There was a 3 day outage for the school, which could have been resolved quickly if we had the history to clarify the human error.

For effective troubleshooting and accountability, we require a 12-month history of administrative actions, particularly for:

  • Permission updates

  • Allocations

  • Attribute release changes

  • Schema editor modifications

  • Other key administrative changes

This feature would help us trace human errors, identify the responsible admin, and review or roll back changes when necessary. Having a clear history of modifications would significantly improve system management and reduce operational risks.
